The Challenge

When we first spoke to Ben and the Blueback Global team, we knew we had a great opportunity on our hands. They were a tremendously well established and well respected brand in their industry. The only issue was that the company hadn’t yet found the right search strategy partner and so the site wasn’t nearly as visible as it should have been for keywords they had the right to own. Ben knew that with the right SEO partner, they could capture the traffic and leads from the high intent keywords that were currently just out of reach. So we went to work.

The Strategy

In order to build the kind of SEO based demand generation machine that the BBG team was looking for, we had to plan and rebuild from the ground up. In order to execute on an effective campaign, we started by understanding which customer segments were the most lucrative for their business. By diving into their business model and target customer profile we were able to uncover some seed topics and ideas which would inform the initial research. 

After downloading the information about the business, we dove right into intent based keyword research, editorial planning, and competitive landscape analysis. In parallel with the team reviewing these insights, we performed a technical analysis that their web developer was able to use to make the site more Google approved and user friendly. Once we had our strategy built and the site technically buttoned up, it was time to implement our content strategy. 

Not only did we help the Blueback team create laser targeted content assets to answer their target customer’s biggest pain points, we helped them improve their solutions pages which is ultimately where most of their customers would land on their path to conversion. Our strategy involved a regular cadence of content production and ongoing on page optimizations based on incoming data we received about content performance through Google Search Console. It was a smashing success.
